Stephen Dajure is a fast rising reggae star from Jamaica.  He made a name for himself with his debut album, “I’m Not a Criminal.”

The Upfullness Management recording artist has continued that momentum with some great singles since.  One of those singles is “Cool & Dreadly,” which is featured on Upsetta Records’ Ouji Riddim.  The Official Music Video premiered on WorldAReggae.com on January 30, 2018.







Meet Stephen Dajure

Stephen Bailey was born October 1989 in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica in an area that produced an abundant of reggae talent the likes of Bob Marley, Burning Spear and more. It all started for STEPHEN DAJURE in Primary and Junior High when he had the opportunity to join the school choir. He was singled out to be the lead singer once the Choir teacher heard him sing. It was soon after this that the community learned of his wonderful voice and they knew STEPHEN DAJURE was destined for greatness.

The choir would travel all over Jamaica to perform at different schools. Every where they would perform, the audience would fall in love with his voice and his mystical & cool performance. The crowds encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Once he graduated from Junior High, STEPHEN DAJURE was able to make good on the many encouraging words and advice he received over the years.

He enrolled in Marcus Garvey Technical High School and it was there that he embarked on a journey which included enhancing his musical talents by taking music service classes. Eventually this progress led him to learn how to play the keyboard and to experiment with sounds and rhythms. Hard work resulted in coming up with his own unique sound and vocal style. His music teacher was so impressed, they introduced STEPHEN DAJURE to the school band. The timing was divine, since the band was just starting to rehearse for a popular Jamaican Festival/Song competition. It was an impressive debut to a larger audience as the band finished in third place.

After graduating from High School STEPHEN DAJURE linked up with some young and talented producers in Jamaica. He began coproducing and writing his own songs, Creating within professional music studios. proved to be a valuable first hand experience. Observing work ethics of veteran Engineers & Producers and studying production/mixing styles led to him practicing a lot on his own. Naturally, this became an extension of what STEPHEN DAJURE had learned over the years.

Since, STEPHEN DAJURE has transformed himself into an up rising sensation – all while perfecting his craft and performing at various shows. As a recording artist STEPHEN DAJURE’S influences runs far and wide from Bob Marley, Peter Tosh Burning Spear, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Garnett Silk,Denis Brown, Beres Hammond and Jah Cure to Michael Jackson, John Mayer and Usher …. to name a few.

STEPHEN DAJURE is now singing, writing, producing and engineering; his own reggae productions, like “Jamaican Boy,” “Dreaming,” “With You,” “Praises,” “Rastafari Name,” ”Beautiful People” and many more. Additionally, he recently released his debut studio album “I’m Not a Criminal.”
