Short Biography: Tydal was born in rural St Mary, Jamaica September 1982, my musically Journey has been decorated and guided through the faith of Rastafari. This has been very evident in most recent singles and interviews. I’m quite rooted to my upbringing, thus treasuring my tradition and rich culture. I’m always willing share to the younger generation and persons interested to know my journey so I sometimes incorporate in my music.
The Interview
Gav Pauze: When did you first start singing?
Tydal: I started singing in High School, beating dest and clashing with Beenie Man and Bounty Killer songs in the early 90s. I penned my first song at 11 years old.
Gav Pauze: Did your family encourage you?
Tydal: Yes my family always give me full support when it comes to music. I also have a couple family members involved in music so that makes it easier. My father played based guitar in church.
Gav Pauze: Who else in your family sings?
Tydal: My brother JR Daine and Fabigeez are both artists also and my uncle Dennis Lovelock is an old time singer.
Gav Pauze: Who are your musical inspirations?
Tydal: My musical inspirations comes from anyone who’s doing good music from whichever Genre, especially from the foundation artist like Dennis Brown, Bob Marley, Buju Banton, Sizzla plus many more.
Gav Pauze: What kind of music do you listen to today?
Tydal: I’m listening to some Sweet Reggae Music right now.
