Rasta Soul Riddim (Upsetta Records x Loud City)

Upsetta Records and Loud City Music are excited to present their third collaboration and the first release of 2019, Rasta Soul Riddim.

The project presents 12 songs from a wide-ranging group of artists.  Artists that include legends, established artists, and new-comers with bright futures.

The riddim is grounded in a soulful guitar progression.  It’s accompanied by a funde style drum beat which acts as the heartbeat of the riddim. A couple of smooth guitar licks fills out the sound. The final result leaves the listener uplifted and inspired.

Grammy-Nominated

Raging Fyah, the Grammy-nominated band joins the Upsetta roster for the very first time.  In the process, releasing only their second tune with their new singer, Journey.  ‘Thank You Jah,’ is an anthem to gratefulness.  A powerful tune that showcases the bold new sound Journey has brought to the band.

Live Good

Tanya Stephens, a lyrical powerhouse, needs little introduction.  A reggae/dancehall legend hailing mega-hits like ‘It’s A Pity’ and ‘These Streets.’

Tanya Stephens joins Upsetta for the second time in under a year.  This time delivering another big tune entitled, ‘Live Good’.

Fire Pon A Riddim

Bushman a massive veteran in the business.  He has known the world over for hits like ‘Fire Pon A Weak Heart’ and ‘Cannabis.’

The legend brings his rich vocal style to this project with his uplifting tune ‘Brighter Day.’

Another Piece of Black Gold

Samory I, broke out on the scene in 2017 with his widely-acclaimed song ‘Rasta Nah Gangsta.’  The first single on his album, ‘Black Gold,’ which was released later that same year. The album got the attention of the world.  As a result, it turned Samory into a household name in the Reggae world. T

The talented singer delivers yet another powerful tune called ‘Survive,’ showcasing his beautiful emotive style.

The Lineup

In addition, upcoming artists like Naomi Cowen, D’Franco and Jah Izzy Izrehl, among others, round out this impressive line-up.

Rasta Soul Riddim officially released on August 16, 2019, and is now available for streaming and download.
