Ouji Riddim
The Ouji Riddim is quite a special release for us for many reasons. One of those reasons is because Ouji (pronounced oh-gee) is named after Dubee, Upsetta Records Co-Founder, firstborn son.
The name Ouji is of Japanese origin and it translates to Prince. The cover of the Ouji Riddim puts all that into perspective. The little Prince Ouji sitting on a royal throne with a majestic Japanese backdrop. This is a gift to the little prince from his father as well as the whole Upsetta Family.
Original Release
The Riddim was the ‘best of 2017‘ has and received numerous accolades. All of this despite the riddim being released in October of 2017.
In fact, headlined by Busy Signal’s “Hold a Medi” and Koffee’s “Burning,” it has never shown signs of slowing down. In September 2018, the release was the #2 Reggae Album for 21st Hapilos.
iTunes Reggae Chart
As expected, that momentum carried into October 2018. One year after the official release. One day after Ouji’s 3rd birthday. The Ouji Riddim peaked on the iTunes Reggae Charts at #10!
Thank you all for your continued support!!
