Introduction to Jahvillani
By the time Dujon Edwards graduated from Ocho Rios High School, St Ann, in 2011, with seven CSEC subjects, he had already settled on his career choice.
The deejay’s musical journey started in primary school when he was 10 years old. He loved to create beats on the desks in his classroom. Four years later, Edwards aks Jahvillani, has matured into a promising deejay.
Encouragement and Influences
He’s consistently spurred on by encouragement from family and friends. Additionally, he has been heavily influenced by dancehall stalwarts such as Buju Banton, Vybz Kartel, and Shabba Ranks.
Y.G.F. & Sassaine Records
Ever since the young artiste has been busy in the studios. Jahvillani began recording with St Ann producers Tevino and Sassaine. Which eventually led to the formation of a team to work on his career.
Jahvillani’s collaboration with Y.G.F Records and Sassaine Records has led to singles such as “Gal Come Over” on the Quick Touch riddim, “RIP” on the Dreamers Passion riddim, “Party Kick Ova” and “Mouth Bad Man.”
Moving Forward
Over the past couple of years, Jahvillani has continued his musical assault in Dancehall. Monster hits such as “Wileside Government,” “Clarks Pon Foot,” “Nuh Reason” and “Rubberband” have instilled him as a fan favorite.
If you’re familiar with this young artist’s works, you know he’s just getting started!
