Contributed Article – Sgt Remo continues to grow a solid following. The unlikely Reggae artist hailing from the border city of Juarez, Mexico immigrated to the U.S. at a young age eventually establishing himself as an esteemed Reggae artist in recent years. He has developed from being a regional artist in the Southwest of the United States to performing around the U.S. and numerous countries bringing his roots reggae brand to the masses and picking up plenty of followers along the way. His major recent success is in his native Mexico where Sgt Remo is becoming a recognized and respected ambassador of Reggae within the country and abroad.
The single Wisdom & Glory features the exceptionally talented Princess Kazayah from Chicago’s D.O.V.E. Musik camp. Princess Kazayah, born Shanelle Mitchell, is a native of Chicago born to Jamaican parents. Her style is one of a kind and is a blend of RnB, Gospel, Roots-Reggae, Lovers Rock & Dub. The angelic voice of Princess Kazayah creates a symphony with Sgt Remo’s vocal delivery and reflective lyrics. D.O.V.E. (Development of Vital Energies) Musik is also the home of gifted Nego Hights, Ras I-Dre, Ras Arcane, and Tzaddi Wadadah of Black Sabbath Sound which have established themselves as the new school of Midwest Reggae.
