Upsetta Records burst onto the reggae scene in 2010 with a herculean debut effort, called the Cuss Fix Riddim. Cuss Fix Riddim (produced by Dante Davinci and Selector Dubee) is a modern reworking of Lloyd Robinson’s classic “Cuss Cuss” reggae riddim from 1969.
Though many reggae/dancehall Sound Systems have thrown their hats into the “Record Label” arena, being equipped with two number one songs and a thunderous bass line, the Cuss Fix Riddim made a loud statement that Upsetta Records was for real and here to stay!
Upsetta Records has an eclectic and historic background in many genres of music, including Electronic, R&B, Hip Hop and more. This experience and seasoned tastes reflect loudly on the Cuss Fix Riddim (which has a slight dub-step esque feel to it).
Upsetta Record’s Cuss Fix Riddim (featuring hit singles from Reggae veteran Admiral Tibet and Ras Q) was re-released this June of 2010 and continues to do exceptionally well.
