Capital D Introduction
Capital D aka Caliente (Spanish translation for HOT) was born Miguel Arce Jr. on January 8 in Manhatten, New York USA.
His original influences are Shabba Ranks, Supercat, Nicodemus, and Dirtsman. More recently, Capital D is inspired by Luciano & Delly Ranx just to name a few.
A True Musical Veteran
Capital D is a reggae/dancehall veteran in every sense of the word. He has performed at numerous events throughout Jamaica such as Rebel Salute, East Fest, Reggae Sunsplash, Reggae Sumfest, Beenie Mans Summer Sizzle and Capleton’s A St. Mary Mi Come From.
If that is not impressive enough, Capital D has also made four Reggae STING appearances. Two in Jamworld (Portmore Jamaica), one in Miami, Florida and one in Connecticut.
Additionally, Capital has performed at Reggae Campfire, Coco Tea’s Reggae JamJam, Irie Jamboree in Queens, NY. He also performs all around Rhode Island and Connecticut, where he resides to this day.

Over the years, Capital D has recorded collaborations alongside international reggae superstars Luciano, Mykal Rose, Anthony B, Ini Kamoze, Junior Kelly, Tarrus Riley, Mikey General, Delly Ranx, Thriller U & Determine!
He has been blessed to work with producers such as the Legendary Producer/Saxophonist Dean Fraser. Capital has also worked with Bread Back Productions, DJ Karim (Stainless Records), Firehouse Crew, Soljie Hamilton, Froggy Madsquad, Pure Music Productions, Rebel World Records, and ZJ Sparks from Zip FM to name a few.
Most recently he has worked with Upsetta Records, Peckings Records, Wicked Vybz and many more. Look out for much more great music from Caliente in the near future!
Capital also owns and operates Caliente Studio in Hartford, CT. There he works with some of the most notorious artists and produces some of the biggest dubplates in the industry.
